100 x 100's Swim Schedule
The final event of the Killer Quad is tomorrow Thursday January 1, 2009. We will host two swims:
8:00 AM
and
11:00 AM
The facility will be closed to the general public so the Menlo Masters will have the whole pool for the entire day. If you plan on being in the water for more than 5 hours to complete all the 100's, we kindly ask you to start at the earlier time slot.
Potluck
Our tradition is to complete the 100's and then share a small meal with team mates on the pool deck. The small meal is a potluck which is supplied by all the swimmers pitching in. Nothing extravagant, just nourishing. If you are able this is how it breaks down:
Level 1-Cold Drinks/Juices
Level 2-Sweet Breads/Pastries
Level 3-Cereals
Level 4-Fruits and Vegetables
Level 5-Hot Drinks and Soups
Level 6-Warm Food/Choice
Please bring enough for 4-5 other swimmers.
Building Futures Now - License Plate Frames
Seeing that the mentees with Building Futures Now needed more physical activity, a program was created that involves a monthly outing that gives the children an opportunity to get outdoors to learn about nature and enjoy different activities, such as hiking, orienteering, rock climbing, and ice skating. In order to help fund these activities, we're selling Menlo Masters/Building Futures Now license plate frames so you can show your team pride and support a fantastic organization. All proceeds will go to pay for the monthly outings. The frames, which cost $20 each, will be sold in the pool store. Cash and checks written out to "Building Futures Now" will be accepted. The supply is limited, so pick yours up today!
Happy New Year to All!
